Soldiers raised ahead of the civil war

On 1st June 1642, the English parliament agreed on and gave a series of demands to the king, Charles I, trying to make him give parliament more power. He would decline, leading to the English Civil War where the king waged war against parliament for almost a decade.
In the same parliament on the 1st June, the Earl of Warwick was ordered to go to Brentwood, where he would muster and excersie trained soldiers of the Essex militia, showing the growing military presence in the country.
On 7th June the soliders and the Earl of Warwick arrived in Brentwood, where they would stay for a few days.
