The Swan
Built 1931
This building was built in 1931 as the latest in a line of buildings known as The Swan. It was built while the pub was owned by the brewery Ind Coope. The landlord at the time was James Davis, who died the year after it was rebuilt. After his death it was managed by his wife Frances Davis at least until 1939. Since the 1930s it has largely been unchanged, and even with recent improvements you can still see the original wood panelling inside.
