43-45 High Street

This building was originally built as a large Woolworths store. Woolworths had originally opened at 50-52 High Street in 1931, but bought land further up the high street to build a larger store in the early 1970s. The branch was closed in January 1983 and the building was sold to Marks and Spencer.
